Isolated... alone... deadly...
(5 YEARS LATER)
Background: Hermit stumbled into the hell-plane seven years ago. After some skirmishes and small battles, he realized he was not ready for the task. Leaving the realm of the warlocks, the Hermit sought out the esoteric books and weighty tomes of arcane knowledge which had been lost since time immemorial.
Returning to the plane of brimstone and screams after an absence of nearly five years, the Hermit finds much has changed. The old alliances and covens have been disbanded and re-organized, and those warlocks dominating the charts are not the same as the early days. Have the old nemesises finally achieved the reward they sought and departed for good to eternity?
And yet, not as much has changed as was expected. Hermit expected many more warlocks to have found their way here, and yet, the number has remained fairly steady. Many of the old familiar wizards continue their eternal struggle.
Enough reminiscing. The Hermit draws his cloak around him, as he steps in to the circle to accept the next waiting challenge and to begin his path to redemption.
